Updates: New Cover Reveal, Featured Book, and Free Story of the Week

Happy Wednesday, y’all! I hope everyone is having a terrific week so far.

I’m making good progress on my next novel, A Climax in Time, which I have been working on for nearly a year now. I’m just over 39,000 words into the story, and hope (knock on wood) that I can get it published by September 15.

I’ve also come up with a cover for the book. I hope you like it:

You’re probably wondering why it’s taking so long to complete this book. There are several reasons, that is, besides my wife’s medical issues, which will always come first.

The story is about a woman, Leanne Hermes, who is accidentally transported nearly 100 years back in time by a device her scientist husband created to harness the energy of the female orgasm. Just for a moment, imagine the challenges she faces.

No cars, no television, no radio, no Internet, very little in the way of electric conveniences. Credit cards won’t exist for another 55 years. And to top all of that off, our heroine, a CPA with her own career path, is suddenly thrust into a world where women faced widespread legal and social limitations and wouldn’t even have the right to vote for another 20 years. Keep in mind that the first female CPA in the United States received her credentials in December 1899, just three months before Leanne’s arrival.

Her husband knows that his wife has disappeared, but doesn’t know where or how. He learns later that she has been transported back in time. Now, he is faced with the daunting task of returning her to the world where she belongs. But he must be cautious, so as not to interfere with the fabric of space and time. On top of that, he is suspected of having made her disappear to hide an affair.

As you can imagine, this story required a considerable amount of research on my part, although I admit to taking some artistic license. If you enjoy spicy stories involving time travel, you’ll love A Climax in Time.

You can read a preview of the story here, and an expanded preview here.

This week’s featured book is The Cursed Phallus of Baalak-Ra: Book One in the Baalak Trilogy. Published on August 15, 2022, this e-book tells the story of Terry and Eileen Fletcher, a husband-and-wife team of archaeologists assigned to investigate a strange object found in the Egyptian desert.

As they are about to learn, some ancient artifacts are best left alone…

Baalak — entire kingdoms trembled at the very mention of his name in the days before the Great Flood washed everything away. He was said to be from a race known as the Nephilim. He had one goal — to spread his sex cult over the entire planet, making all men his willing cuckolds and all women his sex slaves.

Terry gets help from the immortal being who initially imprisoned Baalak inside the artifact thousands of years earlier.

Can Terry and Eileen Fletcher escape Baalak’s clutches? Find out in “The Cursed Phallus of Baalak-Ra.”

You can read an excerpt of this book here, and you can purchase the ebook on Amazon here.

The featured free story for this week is “Evil Woman, Pt. 01,” and tells the story of a man fleeing his cheating wife and her friends, who plan to finish him off…

And on the subject of free stories… I am preparing a new free e-book for your reading pleasure and plan to release it at the end of the month, so stay tuned for next week’s update, when it will be announced.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the free e-books I currently have available here.

Speaking of free, there are two group promotions taking place on Bookfunnel right now. Table for Two, Burn! Tales of Infidelity and Retribution, Vol. 1, and A Father’s Justice can be seen here with many other spicy free e-books. Table for Two, Burn!
