Happy New Year’s Eve, everyone. Just think — tomorrow is a whole new year.
So, I thought I’d take a little trip down memory lane to review the highlights of 2025. What a year it has been.
Most of my year has been spent taking care of my wife, who has faced a gauntlet of medical issues. She took two nasty falls in late 2024 and early 2025 and ended up in the hospital, where she was diagnosed with Encephalopathy, which is a broad term that includes just about anything that changes brain function.
The first few months were rough, especially with most of the hospital staff pushing me to have her placed into long-term care. She did go into a facility for a short time for physical therapy, but we got her home in March.
Since then, she’s been tested, scanned, poked, and prodded. At first, they thought she had Parkinson’s with Lewy Body Dementia. They ruled that out after three brain scans, but did notice a change in the frontal lobes of her brain. Now, they say she has frontotemporal dementia.
She’s a lot better now than she was at the beginning of the year — that was truly scary — but the degradation is there, and continues, albeit slower than it was at the start of the year. And I’m glad that I didn’t give in to the pressure and have her placed in long-term care, but we both know that it’s inevitable, given her diagnosis.
So, taking care of my wife and my regular work occupied much of my time, but some things are just more important.
That’s not to say nothing happened in 2025. Far from it.
In March, Love Potion 69, one of the anthologies I contributed to in 2024, won the Golden Pigtails “It’s Always Better Together” award for best erotic anthology of 2024.
That collection won with 29.25 percent of the vote. Another anthology I contributed to in 2024, Season’s Teasings: Snowbound Seductions, won third place with 25.52 percent of the vote.
I also published two books of my own on Amazon, A Climax in Time, and Tales From the Saddletramp Universe, Vol. 2: Love, Lost and Found.
At least for a short period, A Climax in Time rose to the top spot for Victorian Erotica in Australia. Many thanks to everyone Down Under for helping to make that happen. I appreciate you all more than you know.

I also contributed to two more anthologies in 2025, Summer Teases 2 and Season’s Spice: A Sexy Holidays Collection.
Additionally, I posted 12 free e-books in 2025, all available on Bookfunnel. More will be posted in the next year. Stay tuned for that.
In short, despite everything, 2025 was an excellent year for the Saddletramp Universe, and I look forward to more wonderful things in the new year. Many thanks to all of you for helping to make that happen.
So, Happy New Year! And may 2026 bring great things to all of you. Until next time, happy trails!
