The situation intensifies when Herman Willoughby, the greedy chairman of the board of the company that created Jake, sees an opportunity to use Jake and other like him for other, more nefarious, reasons. Making matters worse, the confrontation between Jake and Ryan created an unexpected change in Jake’s cybernetic network that suggests he might be turning sentient.
